FoVET Research and Consultancy Ltd is a consulting firm 8 years of experience in research, monitoring and evaluation. Over the years, we have undertaken research, monitoring and evaluation assignments ranging from simple to complex in various sectors as shown below.

FoVET Research and Consultancy Ltd Management

FoVET Research and Consultancy Ltd is managed by a 5-member board that provides strategic leadership and policy guidance on all its projects and activities. The board is supported by a lean secretariat based at our office in United Estate, Nairobi West. We currently have more than 10 associates specialized in such technical fields as Monitoring, Evaluation & Learning & Knowledge Management, Research, Strategic Planning, Financial Management and Systems Strengthening, Resource Mobilization and Capacity Building (CB) who can be called upon to lead or support specific assignments. Our structure is summarized in the figure below.

FoVET Research and Consultancy Ltd has extensive experience in monitoring, evaluation, and research. Our team has both quantitative and qualitative researchers with skills in conducting cutting-edge research, modelling programmes, evaluating projects, formulating logic models, and presenting well-reasoned theories of change. The team has over the years interacted with communities around Kenya and East Africa. The main focus of the team is targeting youth, engaging them, and spurring their interest in inquisitive learning of their environment.

FoVET has membership and networks across 10 counties in Kenya including Nairobi, Laikipia, Mombasa, Kakamega, Vihiga, Kisumu, Machakos, Meru, Trans Nzoia, and Tharaka Nithi.

Over the last 8 years, FoVET has conducted evaluations and studies that include but are not limited to:

  • December 2023 - May 2024: Conducted the Strategy evaluation for KCDF for the period 2019 - 2023 (to inform the new strategy 2024 - 2028).
  • July-September 2023: Conducted the Strategic/Impact Evaluation for inABLE.org that has informed their review of the current Strategic Plan 2023 - 2027.
  • May 2023: Conducted baseline for inABLE for a Computer for the Blind Project supported by Google Foundation US.
  • 2014 to 2021: Coordinated 8 evaluations of the KEEP Project (under the Girls Education Challenge implemented by Windle International and World University Service of Canada).
  • 2022: Supported inABLE Kenya in collecting data for youth with disabilities and digital business in Kenya. The study was commissioned by Caribou Digital on behalf of MasterCard Foundation.
  • 2021: Led the digital accessibility study on behalf of inABLE.org for Kenya Bankers Association and FSD Kenya for banking services. The study targeted Persons with visual impairment, hearing impairment, and physical challenges.
  • 2020: Led the study on identifying the challenges of the effects of Covid-19 on learners with disabilities in Kenya (targeting 6 counties).
  • 2016: Executed the endline evaluation of the Equity in Education in Refugee Communities in Kenya (EERCK) - Phase III, Year II in 2014 under Windle International.
